Must Have Packing Essentials for Travel

Here are some travel essentials to make packing for your next trip a lot easier!

All of these items can be purchased through Amazon.com. Click on any of the photos below to add it to your cart.

My first recommendation is a hardcover suitcase. You should choose a color besides black so it is easy to tell your suitcase apart from others while traveling. It is also convenient to choose a suitcase with a built-in security lock feature. DELSEY Paris is my favorite suitcase brand. The one pictured below is 29 inches, which is the perfect size for a 2-week trip.

I recommend getting a travel backpack to store any necessities. I personally prefer the ones that open up fully for easy access. The one linked below comes with a charging port on the side and it is perfect to use as a personal item on flights.

Belt bags are very in-style right now and they are great for travel. They can be used to keep your belongings secure when walking around cities where pickpocketing may be a problem. The one below fits my passport, money, phone, and portable charger with extra room left over.

Packing cubes make living out of a suitcase way easier. I used the ones linked below when I was backpacking through Europe. They helped me stay organized while constantly moving from one city to another. It includes a laundry, toiletry, accessory, and shoe bag, as well as different sized clothing packing cubes.

A good neck pillow can really make or break a trip. I recommend getting one that comes with a small travel bag that can be attached to a backpack or suitcase. The travel bag will protect it from getting dirty and will also make it easy to carry when you are not using it.

Hand sanitizer is a MUST for travel. Your hands are constantly touching germs and you may not always have quick access to a sink. Noshinku makes a great travel-sized hand sanitizer mist that can also be refilled.

A travel-sized toothbrush and toothpaste is very convenient when traveling, even for just a weekend trip. The one below is my favorite because the toothbrush can be split in half and you can use the bottom portion as a cover. I usually keep this in my purse since it is so small and the brush area is covered.

My next recommendation is hydration face masks. My face always gets super dry when I am traveling, especially when I have long flights. Neutrogena makes a great hydration mask with hyaluronic acid.

Another good item to have is a portable LED mirror. You may not always have access to a mirror with decent lighting when traveling. This one easily fits in a purse or book bag. I mainly use it for applying my make up while traveling.

If you are checking luggage, I recommend getting locks to keep your items secure. Make sure you get TSA compatible locks so if your suitcase is chosen to be randomly searched, TSA can open the lock without having to break it. I also recommend getting an air tag for your suitcase if you have any flight layovers. This will allow you to track your bags if they get lost during travel.

Another travel essential is having a durable portable charger. They are perfect for those vacation/travel days when you are out all day. Having a charged phone is important when you are in an unfamiliar area. The one linked below has two outlets so you can charge multiple devices at the same time. It is also flat enough to fit in a pocket or small purse.

My last recommendation is to pack extra charging cords for your devices. If you are going abroad, I also suggest packing some universal wall adaptors.
