Top 5 Things To Do In Mykonos, Greece

Planning a trip to Mykonos, Greece? Check out these top 5 things to do when you are there to take you vacation to the next level!

1.) Dine at 180° Sunset Bar

I recommend making a dinner reservation at 180° Sunset Bar for some beautiful views overlooking Mykonos Town and the Aegean Sea. You can choose to reserve seating by the windmill, arch, or bar. We reserved a table by the windmill and the views were amazing. The food and drinks were also delicious. The ‘Happiness’ cocktail was my favorite; it was a mix of champagne, peach, and cherry.

2.) Book a Catamaran Cruise

Catamaran cruises are very popular in Mykonos. I booked a dinner/sunset cruise on Travelocity by Dolphin Navigation Mykonos Luxury Cruises. The cruise included a traditional greek dinner, homemade wine, snorkeling equipment, and hotel pick up and drop off. We passed by a few different islands and the views were beautiful.

3.) Visit Delos Island

Delos is an archeological site near Mykonos and it is known for being the birthplace of Greek God Apollo. We purchased ferry passes from the port in Mykonos Town and spent a few hours exploring the ruins of Delos. The ruins include homes, statues, markets, and even an amphitheater that still has some of the original stone seats remaining. I recommend hiking up Mount Kynthos while you are there to see a 360 view of the island.

4.) Have a Beach Day in Ornos

Ornos is a beachfront town in Mykonos with shops and restaurants. We took the bus from Mykonos Town over to Ornos for a beach day. We rented a cabana and ordered food from the beach bar, which was really yummy!

5.) Shop in Mykonos Town

Mykonos Town is full of many shops and restaurants. You can spend hours walking around and you may even get lost in the maze. You will also see many stray cats wandering around the town. I recommend trying some local Greek desserts while you are there.

  1. I’m ready to go back to Greece. I’ve been to Santorini but not Mykonos. So, a new destination 😀
